Campaign Charts
Welcome Commander to Campaign Charts (BETA version), where diagnostics and details from recent battles are readied for your analysis.
View the various charts across the 3 other sections to track your own and your enemies progress throughout the campaign. Data is updated regularly, so its worthwhile checking back in every so often to see the latest changes.
If it’s your first time here, expand the labels immediately below to learn how to view the data your games create (Using the Charts) and how we determine the winner of a campaign (Measuring Success) and then jump into the charts proper!
Use the charts above to track the progress of the campaign and your faction within it. The content is broken down into 3 main sections, with filters available in each to let you dive deeper into the data:
- Control: This area will detail the current status of the overall campaign, including who is winning via Faction Control (% Win Share), overall faction involvement and activity per faction across the campaign schedule.
- Performance: Provides a look at how a faction is performing in terms of their own Win/Loss/Draw %, what missions factions are undertaking and where the factions are fighting.
- Insights: This area focuses on the games being played as opposed to the battles being fought, providing a look at what missions are most popular, what the most played points level is and then combining the two to see the breakdown of points limits per mission.
The purpose of our campaigns is to get our community together, play lots of games and to help drive the narrative of our game worlds. To that end, there has to be a winner of each campaign but you might be wondering “who wins?” and “how is it decided?”
Q. HOW DOES A FACTION WIN?
The winner of our campaigns is determined in the following priority order:
- Greatest Location Control – Any faction that controls the majority of locations in a campaign at its end is considered to be the winner.
- Overall Campaign Control – Where any 2 or more factions control the same number of locations at the end of a campaign, this results in a location stalemate and we revert to the Campaign Control data across ALL locations to determine the winner with the highest % value.
- Combined Control – Where Overall Campaign Control is also tied between 2 or more factions, whichever of those tied factions that also controls the greater number of locations is then determined to be the winner.
Q. HOW DO YOU MEASURE CONTROL?
- Control of a location and control overall (called Campaign Control) is measured as the highest % Win Share contributed by a faction for that specific location or combined across all locations respectively.
Q. WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE RESULTS?
- To assist us making the campaign as fair as possible across multiple unequal factors (such as outlying game contributions, availability of faction products, concentrated faction popularity etc) we apply an internal “weight” to the results submitted. This weight is a continuous calculation based off the total number of results submitted and the contributions of each faction, that moderates the impact of outliers and anomalies on our control measures and win criteria.
Q. ARE THE CHARTS LIVE / NEW RESULTS INCLUDED REAL-TIME?
- No, the charts don’t immediately display new results on submission. The charts display results on a batch basis which is applied using an internal schedule. You’ll find Mantic Games or campaign runners will post social media comms at intervals of varying regularity to let players know of changes in campaign progress and when new data is available.
