Campaign: Magnetar

Introduction

For many the entertainment district of Magnetar is the one they’re most familiar with. Often seen on broadcasts from the magnificent Bulk Grogan OverDrive Arena, or visited by corporation workers keen to gamble away their hard-earned cash, Magnetar was often referred to as a ‘party planet’. However, since Containment Protocols were declared, the whoops of joy from the casino tables have been replaced by screams of terror.

For the Strike Teams arriving in Magnetar, the entertainment district has one key attraction: credits! No one had time to empty the safes of the casinos once Containment Protocols came into effect. Now there are well-secured, but unattended, safes full of cash or other, more mysterious precious resources, that are ripe for the picking. And no matter who you are, one thing that talks in the Galactic Co-Prosperity Sphere is money and the more of it you have, the more likely people are to listen.

SPECIAL RULE: HIGH VALUE ASSET

You’re not the only one looking for riches in the Entertainment District, enemies and other scavengers can be found hiding among the buildings.

 

At the end of Round One, you should place a Scavenger on the board, using the normal rules for placing Items (note: if the Scavenger would be placed in a cube with a model, roll again).

In order to capture the Scavenger, you must move into the same cube and roll a 3 dice Fight test (X), the Scavenger rolls a 3 dice Survive test (4+).

If you roll more successes, you capture the Scavenger and immediately gain 4VPs, then remove the Scavenger from the board.

If the Scavenger rolls more successes, they Scatter (see page 27).
